Since 2006 our freehold premises have undergone complete refurbishment, renewal and upgrading ...we now have wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities, and the community is benefiting from the new rooms. We have just put in a fabulous new "storm porch" outside the new Hartington room, keeping everyone dry no matter what January weather comes!

We are very grateful for the support of our members, volunteers and those people who have contributed financially and with their time and in other ways to make Community Wise such a thriving centre.

Energy saving:

An energy feasibility study was undertaken in 2009 with a grant from The Green Energy Fund. The recommendations were to install a condensing boiler, install cavity wall insulation, insulate the roof and install solar panels.  These measures were undertaken over the next three years with thanks to financial support from E-on Sustainable Energy Fund and Veolia Environmental Trust Landfill Communities Fund. 42 solar panels were installed on the flat roof by Freetricity in 2012.
