AG Eastbourne Family Contact Centre provide 24/7 community-based assessment, family support and monitoring, outreach and child contact services, nationally! Can they help you?  Read about them here:

AG Family Support are pleased to announce the opening of our new Child Contact Centre in Eastbourne, which offers supervised and supported sessions. Like all AG Contact Centres, our Eastbourne venue also caters for community-based contact needs and indirect (video) referrals.

All our Contact Centres have enhanced accreditation by the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC). We welcome enquiries from local authorities, solicitors, CAFCASS and members of the public (including self-referrals). To get in touch with us, please visit www.agfamilysupport.com/contactcentres or email contact/centres@agfamilysupport.com or telephone the Eastbourne centre manager on 07305 403249.

During lockdown, two staff from the Centre worked at home, and recruited 6 additional volunteers – to run a phone-call-based keeping in touch scheme from April to August 2020.

Funded by the Communities Can Grants programme, the team were able to ring people daily, or several times a week, for a catch up call and chat. People were either referred to the scheme by other agencies, or had existing links to the Centre, and were either isolated or vulnerable.

Up to 70 people were contacted, and over 2,000 calls were made and conversations had to ensure people were ok and safe in their circumstances.

Since lock down and building closure, the Trustees of Community Wise have completed a Risk Assessment, and after an initial deep clean have erected screens and made the necessary adjustments to signage, room occupancy and cleaning procedures.  Our premises are Covid secure.  Thank you to Upperton and Old Town Devolved budgets for a grant of £900 which covered most of these costs.

Community Wise is well-known for its warmth and welcome.
